Walnut William & Mary Blanket Chest
Description:
Blanket chests from this period with nice paneling and brass are difficult to come by. The combination of these elements combined with a great old finish make this chest particularly desirable. It has a molded lid with cotter pin hinges over a recessed three-paneled chest in front and double-paneled on the sides with engraved escutcheon over two drawers with tear drop brass pulls. The chest is supported by front and rear stile feet.

Walnut with brass.
Condition:
The blanket chest is in very good condition with a slight warp on the top.
Origin: Pennsylvania.
Date: c. 1720.
