Richard Chalfant is known for his bold landscapes that rise to the skies.  Recently featured in "100 Artists of the Brandywine Valley", Chalfant has a special relationship with Chester County and the Brandywine River.  His embrace of land meets sky is particularly striking and reflected in this print entitled, "Atmosphere".  Atmosphere is a historical interpretation of the Marshalton Inn in West Chester, PA.  The cover image for his exhibition "Atmosphere" in 2009, this painting is a beautiful representation of what is beloved about Chester County.
