This document box has a wonderful original surface. The box is decorated with an intricate compass carving on its lid with geometric carvings on the sides and front.     

Beautiful and rare rolled paper filigree tea caddy with a octagonal shape.  The tea caddy features paintings on both the front and the back of the box.  Filigree work was seen as a particular accomplishment for young ladies of the early 19th century and was was also taught at art school classes.  Trade cards of the period mention the supply of cases for filigree work to boarding...

A charming and engaging box with molded lid fronted by a mirror with ogival ends.  The molded base is supported on ogee bracket feet.  The box features a wonderful amber patina and still retains the original bail handle. Provenance: Ex. collection of Israel Sack.

In a copper-hinged box, the lid is engraved with leaf carving throughout and the name "Jean Wilson" inlaid on ivory. There is a copper heart at the base of the lid with "WW" engraved on the heart. 

This bible box has a stepped, molded top, herringbone inlay, engraved escutcheon, molded base and ball feet.
