Appraisals:
   H.L. Chalfant American Fine Art & Antiques offers our customers appraisals for estate and insurance valuation. For a fee of $150/hour, we will come to your home or appraise items at our shop (appraisals for these purposes must be done in person). Customers receive a full description, condition assessment and an estimate of the object's value.
 
 
Assessments:
  

For a $50/item fee, H.L. Chalfant will provide customers with an item description, condition report, and estimated value of the item. Assessments are only based on both the verbal and written description provided by the customer and photos provided in person or electronically.

Because a customer is not requesting an appraisal and we often do not see a piece in person, value assessments are NOT formal appraisals and are meant strictly as an option to get a sense of your object's value.
